Richard Hunt, who stepped down in July after 13 years as head of the Consumer Bankers Association, has launched the HuntGroupDC , a one-man consulting shop that will work with a handful of financial clients to help them navigate Washington and the new world of banking, he told MM. His No. 1 criterion for clients: “They have to be good people serving customers in a responsible way. Period.”

He also plans to focus on three passions in this fourth chapter, as he called it: Addressing the exorbitant price of college, making sure banking is regulated and growing women’s golf in the U.S. Hunt, a Louisiana native known for his active and, ahem, frank Twitter presence has also launched a blog, Cajun Thoughts. (His first post takes the Biden administration to task over its student debt forgiveness plan.)
